on this day in the distant past, this album finally reached it's [v1] when I had it's first listening session. The first time another person ever heard its name, its songs, its story, and the pain I've carried along with it; thus ending the era of Blood, tears, and secrecy that it took to finish this music. I would spend the next years to introduce each of my closest friends to this project with their own listening session and unique version of the album, while also navigating this trap-filled world to find internet strangers who might appreciate the music I made. 35+ versions of "Shine, Rodriguez" exist, each with it's own tracklist across alt verses, extended tracks, and opposite endings - many of these are dedicated to the people You hear at the end of the (demotape).

-- the version of my story while i was finishing producing the album. Ending with my ascent because i was basing so much of my life worth on this project, esp by june [2021]. I was even saying to kr*** and gu**** that this was my reason to live.. I don't think that I would have ever gotten to that point if the pandemic was "Unknown." never happened. I might've just kept living my life while I worked on it... or maybe i would've never finished the album at all. It's obviously hard to juggle an engineering career and a music career, so would've prolly had to decide eventually. But maybe i would've had more time as a kid... --The other edition I'm thinking about again is (bleeding). This is my edition, the one that represents the struggle I've had to go thru making this project. That even creating music like this and putting it into the world is risking everything. What happens if i put it out there and i fail? Then i lose my family AND my chance at a music career. It represents how i became obsessed when producing it, and my lonesome spiraled into ascension. Every song on this would be slowed to some degree, some pitched down. ghost-alt and ascent. the most painful and emotional edition of the project because that's how it felt making it.
